Jeyran Afandi is a Dubai-based businesswoman who has worked in real-estate investment, development, consultancy, and management for close to 15 years. She has previously worked in oil and gas procurement and trading.
Jeyran graduated with honours from Khazar University with a BA in Economics and Finance and has continued to upgrade industry related qualifications throughout her career.
She sits on the board of several reputable oil and gas companies, trading companies, and real estate investment funds, and is also involved with institutional investment companies, royal families, and family funds.
She is a strong advocate for the role of women in the UAE and continues to exercise her commitment to strengthening the position of women in the global marketplace through her co-presidency of the Euro-American Women’s Council (EAWC).
Jeyran has received two awards, Honorary Citizen of the City of Athens, presented by the Mayor of Athens, and The Goddess Artemis Women of Achievement Award from EAWC.
She has a passion for music and studied piano for 8 years in music school, playing on stage and composing her first CD. 2 of her compositions were used in short movies.
As an independent woman climbing through a highly male-centric society for the last 18 years, Jeyran is a firm believer in self-empowerment and promoting the rights of women worldwide. She is concerned with social responsibility and believes that all people—particularly women and children—should have every opportunity to access the education and support that will give them equal chances in life.
She has also been involved in charity fundraising events, helping to raise money so that children with challenging medical conditions are able to attend the best clinics
Jeyran feels that her greatest achievement is her family. She is blessed with a loving husband and their beautiful children, and she is committed to continuing her journey of growth and fulfillment in life and business with whoever is ready to benefit from her participation.
